Unity WebGL Browser Integration Lab
A compact Unity 6.3 WebGL demo project showcasing practical browser integration: C# ↔ JavaScript communication, browser APIs and runtime diagnostics.
Reference Project · v1.0 · Source on GitHub
An educational engineering demo and reference implementation, not a finished commercial game or a Unity Asset Store package. No hosted live demo is available yet; the public repository includes source and captured UI.

Problem
Unity WebGL runs inside the browser sandbox. Clipboard, fullscreen, downloads and diagnostics need a JavaScript boundary, capability checks and meaningful runtime feedback.
Solution & my contribution
Implemented C# bridge wrappers and a .jslib plugin, with Unity-to-JavaScript calls and a SendMessage callback into Unity. A shared UI exposes small API demos, status indicators and console output.
Result
A reusable v1.0 reference implementation for browser integration, with visible runtime feedback and diagnostics. Real screenshots document the implementation; no adoption or performance metrics are claimed.
Engineering decisions
- Browser interaction — clipboard text, fullscreen and text-file download through a Blob and temporary URL. Clipboard/fullscreen depend on browser support, permissions and user gestures.
- Runtime visibility — bridge/browser/API availability indicators, PlayerPrefs save/load, a diagnostics panel and a runtime console. GPU information can be unavailable under browser privacy restrictions.
- Delivery boundary — WebGL 2.0 on a web server, with correct compression and WebAssembly MIME headers. The portfolio presents the implementation without embedding a nonexistent hosted build.

Verification & scope
Features cross-checked against the v1.0 README, C# modules and .jslib implementation. Screenshots show the real application. This website does not certify a browser/device matrix or rerun the Unity build.
File upload, drag & drop, IndexedDB, browser notifications and clipboard images are roadmap items, not v1.0 features. Browser sandbox and hosting constraints still apply.
